The Era’s Litter (Dolly’s Version)

Dolly is an AKC Registered Champion Line Bernese Mountain Dog and Edsel is an AKC Registered Champion Line Standard Poodle

Dolly began delivering her pups on July 19th 2023. She labored for 12 long hours and during that time we saw a confidence in her that grew and grew. She was restful, patient, and calm as she waited for each pup to come and knew exactly what to do to care for them as they were born. She delivered 11sweet puppies - 5 males and 6 females. This time we did very little to help Dolly manage her pups and she nursed them on demand for 4 weeks before they transitioned to solid (mushy) food. These puppies were a dream! They were playful, curious, cuddly, happy, and confident. Since they were summertime babies, they were able to have quite a bit of time outside on the farm as they grew big and strong. They ran across the field at the heels of our children, sniffed and followed our chickens around, got spooked by Mr. Goose a time or two, and rolled around in the sunshine. They also loved to follow “Uncle Gus” (our male BMD) around and play with him! Like our previous litter, they were well on their way to potty training by 5 weeks old and went off to their new families at 8 weeks old!
