Dolly’s Thanksgiving Litter

Dolly is an AKC Registered Champion Line Bernese Mountain Dog and Edsel is an AKC Registered Champion Line Standard Poodle

Dolly began delivering her pups on November 24, 2022, Thanksgiving night. She delivered 10 big, healthy puppies - 5 males and 5 females. Dolly was the sweetest, most gentle and tender mother to her first litter. She knew exactly what to do to care for them. Watching her maternal instinct kick in felt like one of life’s greatest wonders. She tended to her litter beautifully and they grew healthy and strong. These puppies had the best temperaments we could hope for in a litter of pups. They were all very self-assured, happy, playful, and curious. They didn’t ever seem to mind loud noises, sudden movements, or unexpected changes. We took them on daily explorations around the property where they came in contact with all of our other animals and played happily with our children in the field. They enjoyed walking right up to our chickens, geese, and turkeys and were so curious about the neighbor’s horse and our barn cats. A few also became very playful toward and friendly with our Male BMD and often walked right up to him to play. These pups were smart! They were well on their way to potty training by 5 weeks old and from all of the families we heard back from, house training was a breeze. These pups went off to their new families at 8 weeks and span 8 different states.
